The London Borough of Lambeth is seeking a dedicated and passionate Children’s Social Worker to join our Family Support and Child Protection (FSCP) Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of children while promoting their development and family stability.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Conducting comprehensive assessments to identify the needs of children and families. Developing and implementing child protection plans in collaboration with families and other professionals. Providing ongoing support and intervention to families in crisis, ensuring a child-centered approach. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation in line with statutory requirements. Participating in multi-agency meetings to promote effective communication and collaboration.

To be considered for this role, you must hold a recognized social work qualification (Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent) and be registered with Social Work England. Additionally, you should possess:

Strong knowledge of child protection legislation and safeguarding practices. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families. Demonstrated experience in working with children and families in a social work setting. The ability to manage a complex caseload effectively and work under pressure.
