Lincolnshire County Council is seeking a Qualified Social Worker to join our Children's Leaving Care Team. In this vital role, you will support young people aged 16-25 as they transition from care to independent living, ensuring they have the tools and resources necessary for a successful future.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Providing high-quality assessments and support plans tailored to the needs of each young person. Working collaboratively with young people to develop their independence skills and enhance their emotional resilience. Building strong relationships with partner agencies, educational institutions, and local services to facilitate access to housing, education, and employment opportunities. Maintaining accurate records and documentation in compliance with relevant legislation and guidelines. Participating in regular supervision and team meetings to share best practices and contribute to team development.To be considered for this position, you must possess the following qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work). Current registration with Social Work England. Experience working with children and young people, particularly in a leaving care context. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with young people and stakeholders.
