Join our dedicated Children's Social Work Safeguarding Team in Durham, where you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of children in our community. We are seeking a passionate and qualified Social Worker who is committed to making a difference in the lives of vulnerable children and their families. You will work collaboratively with various stakeholders to assess needs, develop care plans, and provide support services to promote positive outcomes for children.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting thorough assessments of children and families to identify risks and needs. Developing and implementing effective care plans in collaboration with families and other professionals. Providing ongoing support and intervention to children and families in crisis. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation. Participating in multi-agency meetings and contributing to safeguarding discussions. Staying informed about relevant legislation, policies, and best practices in child safeguarding.To be successful in this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized Social Work qualification (BA/MA in Social Work or equivalent). Current Social Work registration with Social Work England. Demonstrated experience in children's social work, particularly in safeguarding. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage a caseload effectively.
