The London Borough of Havering is seeking a passionate and dedicated Children's Social Worker to join our Safeguarding Team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the safety and well-being of children and young people within our community. As a qualified social worker, you will work collaboratively with families, schools, and various agencies to provide support and intervention to those in need, ensuring that the best interests of the child are always at the forefront of your practice.
Key responsibilities include:
Conducting assessments and developing care plans for children and families. Managing a caseload of children in need, ensuring timely interventions and support. Working closely with multi-agency teams to safeguard children and promote their welfare. Engaging with families to empower them and facilitate positive change. Preparing reports and documentation for court proceedings and case reviews.To be considered for this role, you must possess the following qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Experience in child protection and safeguarding practice. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build effective relationships with children and families.
