We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Children's Social Worker to join our Support and Safeguarding Team in Wiltshire. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the safety and well-being of vulnerable children and families in the area.

Key responsibilities and duties:

Conducting assessments and investigations to determine the needs and risks faced by children and families. Developing and implementing care plans to support the welfare and development of children in need of protection. Working collaboratively with partner agencies and professionals to provide coordinated support and interventions. Attending court hearings and representing the local authority in legal proceedings related to child protection cases. Providing guidance and support to families to promote positive outcomes and prevent future safeguarding concerns.

Essential qualifications and skills:

Qualified Social Worker with a recognized social work qualification and registration with Social Work England. Demonstrated experience working in a children's social work setting, with a strong understanding of safeguarding principles and legislation. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children, families, and colleagues. Strong assessment and analytical skills to effectively evaluate risks and develop appropriate interventions. Ability to work under pressure, manage competing priorities, and make sound decisions in challenging situations.
