Join our dedicated Children's Social Work - Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children (UASC) Team in Oxfordshire, where you will play a vital role in supporting some of the most vulnerable young people in our community. As a Qualified Social Worker, you will be responsible for providing high-quality assessments, interventions, and support to unaccompanied minors, ensuring their safety, well-being, and successful integration into society.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Conducting thorough assessments of the needs and circumstances of UASC. Developing and implementing tailored care plans in collaboration with young people and other professionals. Providing ongoing support and guidance to young people, helping them navigate challenges related to their asylum status and integration. Working closely with various agencies, including education, health, and housing services, to ensure holistic support. Maintaining accurate records and documentation in accordance with statutory requirements and best practice.

To be considered for this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

A recognized social work qualification (BA/MA in Social Work or equivalent). Current Social Work England registration. Proven experience working with children, particularly in the context of UASC or similar vulnerable groups. Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to make informed decisions. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a compassionate approach to working with young people.
