Join our dedicated Children's TM - Kinship Assessment Team in Birmingham, where you will play a vital role in supporting vulnerable children and their families. As a qualified social worker, you will lead assessments for kinship placements, ensuring that children are placed in safe, nurturing environments. Your expertise will help to navigate complex family dynamics while promoting the best interests of the children involved.
Key responsibilities include:
Conducting thorough assessments of kinship carers to determine their suitability. Collaborating with multi-agency partners to gather essential information and insights. Developing comprehensive reports and presenting findings to relevant stakeholders. Providing ongoing support and guidance to kinship families throughout the assessment process. Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and safeguarding policies.To be considered for this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent). Registered with Social Work England. Proven experience in children's social work, particularly in kinship assessments. Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess complex situations.
