I am working with a Government Department who are looking for an experienced Payroll Specialist for 3-6 months based in Swindon.
The role is full time, to start ASAP and paying £400 Umbrella per day (inside IR35)
You will be required to work in the office in Swindon 1 day a week.

* Previously worked in a payroll service delivery department
* Knowledge of current statutory payroll guidelines and best practice
* Ability to accurately calculate gross to net calculations manually, including overpayment calculations
* Able to translate complex payroll information to a non-payroll audience
* Able to interpret and present complex data in a range of formats to multiple audience types
* Fantastic attention to detail, motivated by producing high quality work
* A proactive and problem-solving approach with examples of successful outcomes
* Experience of handling challenging conversations/complaints
* Strong track record in payroll
* Experience working in volume environment
Desirable
* Oracle fusion / ERP change / Public sector experience
* Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals (CIPP) qualification
* Knowledge and experience of Oracle or similar ERP / SaaS system
* Experience of conversing and influencing with senior managers

Project Manager
Eden Brown Synergy are working with a leading public sector organisation who are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead and support a diverse range of refurbishment, reinvestment, and new build housing schemes. This opportunity offers a chance to shape sustainable, resident-focused developments in a dynamic team environment.
The role is a 4 months contract initially.
The candidate must have knowledge of and experience in delivering fire safety construction work to buildings including knowledge of the regulatory process for work to buildings designated as 'higher-risk buildings' under the Building Safety Act 2022. The candidate must have experience of project managing projects where a multi-disciplinary consultant team has been engaged.
The team operate on a flexible working basis but must be available on the telephone Monday-Friday 09:00-17:00 and the candidate must also have contact with their line manager on a video call at least once a day.
Attendance on site and in the office is required to meet the needs of the job, up to a maximum of five days per week. This will include attending the office every Thursday.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver new build, refurbishment, and reinvestment projects from inception to completion.
* Produce project plans, specifications, costings, and contract documentation.
* Commission and manage consultants and contractors across multidisciplinary schemes.
* Ensure compliance with housing legislation, health and safety regulations, and performance targets.
* Contribute to procurement strategies, Section 20 consultation processes, and budget management.
* Engage with internal services (e.g., Adult Social Care, Legal, Planning) to ensure coordinated project delivery.
* Maintain comprehensive records, monitor quality assurance, and support continuous service improvement.

Essential Skills and Experience:
* HND/NVQ Level 4 qualification in Building, Housing, or a related discipline.
* Proven track record in housing construction or refurbishment project delivery.
* Strong working knowledge of housing legislation, compliance requirements, and contract administration.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage stakeholders and support resident engagement.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project/data management tools.
* Ability to manage multiple projects with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
Desirable:
* Membership of a relevant professional body (CIOB, RICS).
* Understanding of the local authority housing strategy and government guidance.
* Experience working in politically sensitive or complex organisational settings.
