Social Worker required to join as an Deputy Team Manager work within the Safeguarding Team based in Keynsham in the historic county of Bath and North-East Somerset. This is an exciting opportunity with excellent rates of pay up to £42ph. 3 month contract but with the opportunity to extend. Hybrid working.
* This is a safeguarding team that hold CIN, CP and court work.
* Access to a vehicle advisable as some areas in B&NES are quite rural.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key leadership role in delivering high-quality services that safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people. Working alongside the Team Manager, you will support the effective management of a busy safeguarding team, ensuring children and families receive timely, child-centred interventions that lead to positive outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the Team Manager in the operational leadership and management of the Safeguarding Team.
* Provide high-quality supervision, coaching, and support to social workers and family support practitioners.
* Oversee complex child protection, child in need, and care proceedings cases.
* Ensure assessments, plans, and interventions are timely, effective, and compliant with statutory requirements.
* Promote excellent safeguarding practice through quality assurance and performance monitoring.
* Work collaboratively with partner agencies, including health, education, police, and voluntary sector organisations.
* Contribute to service development and continuous improvement initiatives.
You will be Social Work England registered, ideally a driver with access to own car and able to reside and work in the UK.
