Team Manager - MASH Team | Ealing Council | £45.20 p/hr Umb

Eden Brown Synergy is currently recruiting for an experienced Team Manager to join the Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) Team at Ealing Council. This is an excellent opportunity for an established manager to lead a dynamic and fast-paced safeguarding service committed to achieving positive outcomes for children and families.

Role Details:

Position: Team Manager - MASH Team

Council: Ealing Council

Location: Perceval House, W5 2HL

Pay Rate: £45.20 per hour (Umbrella)

Contract: Agency

Working Pattern: Hybrid (subject to service requirements)

Key Responsibilities:

Lead, manage, and support a team of Social Workers and support staff within the MASH service.

Provide effective supervision, performance management, and professional guidance to ensure high standards of practice.

Oversee the screening and assessment of safeguarding referrals, ensuring timely and appropriate decision-making in line with statutory requirements.

Ensure safeguarding thresholds are applied consistently and that risks are identified and managed effectively.

Promote high-quality practice through regular case audits, reflective supervision, and continuous service improvement.

Work collaboratively with multi-agency partners, including health, education, police, and other statutory and voluntary services, to safeguard children and young people.

Monitor team performance against service objectives and ensure compliance with legislation, policies, and procedures.

Chair strategy meetings and other professional meetings where required.

Manage complex and high-risk cases, providing advice and support to practitioners and escalating concerns appropriately.

Contribute to service development initiatives and deputise for senior management when required.

Requirements:

Qualified Social Worker with current Social Work England registration.

Significant post-qualifying experience within Children's Social Care.

Previous Team Manager or Assistant Team Manager experience within a safeguarding or frontline children's service.

Strong knowledge of safeguarding legislation, statutory guidance, and best practice.

Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.

Experience of working effectively within a multi-agency environment.
