Join our dedicated team at Cambridgeshire County Council as a Family Safeguarding Social Worker, where you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of children and families within our community. In this rewarding position, you will work collaboratively with families, partner agencies, and stakeholders to provide high-quality social work support, safeguarding vulnerable children, and promoting positive outcomes.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting comprehensive assessments of family needs and risks. Developing and implementing tailored intervention plans to support families. Managing a caseload of complex cases with a focus on safeguarding. Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure effective service delivery. Participating in court proceedings and providing expert testimony when required. Maintaining accurate and timely documentation in line with statutory requirements.To be successful in this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (BA/MA in Social Work or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Experience in child protection and safeguarding practices. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage challenging situations.
