Join our dedicated team as a Family Support (Safeguarding) Senior Social Worker in Barking & Dagenham, where you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety and well-being of children and families in our community. You will be responsible for assessing complex situations, developing and implementing care plans, and providing ongoing support to families in need. Your expertise will contribute to safeguarding vulnerable children and promoting positive outcomes through collaborative working with various stakeholders.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks. Developing and implementing tailored intervention plans to address identified issues. Working closely with schools, healthcare providers, and other agencies to ensure a holistic approach to family support. Monitoring and reviewing progress, adjusting plans as necessary to meet evolving needs. Providing guidance and training to junior staff and contributing to team development.To be considered for this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Registered with Social Work England. Significant experience in child protection and safeguarding. Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to make informed decisions under pressure.
