We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Fostering assessing social worker to join our team in Dudley. As a key member of our Qualified Social Work department, you will play a crucial role in assessing and supporting foster carers to provide safe and nurturing environments for children in need.

Key responsibilities and duties:

Conducting thorough assessments of potential foster carers to ensure they meet the necessary criteria and standards Providing ongoing support, training, and guidance to foster carers to help them develop their skills and capabilities Working collaboratively with other professionals, including social workers, to ensure the well-being and safety of children in foster care Participating in case conferences, reviews, and court hearings as required Keeping accurate and up-to-date records of assessments, visits, and interventions

Essential qualifications and skills:

Qualified Social Worker with relevant experience in fostering assessments Registration with Social Work England Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team Strong assessment and analytical skills

At Dudley MBC we're recruiting for an agency Fostering Assessment Social Worker to join the Assessment Services.

Dudley Fostering Service is dedicated to recruiting and assessing the very best
Carers to provide a warm and loving home for our children in care, both mainstream
and connected/kinship.

We are based at Cable Plaza Waterfront in Dudley, where
we are co-located with the rest of children's services.

In these posts you will complete fostering assessments - kinship assessments using
the new Form K (previously Form C), Initial Viability Assessments, and Form F
assessments. You will report to the Team Manager for the Fostering Recruitment
and Assessment Team.

You will also be part of a supportive fostering service that
also has two support teams and a specialist post order support team.
3 Years English Local Authority Perm Experience is required.


Essential Requirements:
* Social Work Qualification - Degree or equivalent
* At least 3 years' experience as a social worker within children's services
* Social Work England Registration
* Driving license and access to own vehicle
