Job Advert: Adult Social Worker - BDMC Locality Team (Bromley Council)
Location: Bromley Civic Centre & Remote (Hybrid)
Contract: 3 Months
Hours: Full-time (36 hours per week)
Pay Rate: £32 per hour
Start Date: ASAP

Bromley Council is seeking a talented and ambitious Qualified Social Worker to join the Adult Social Care Locality Team. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a well-structured team during a key period of transformation and innovation.

About the Role:
As a Social Worker in Bromley's Adult Social Care Services, you will undertake a full range of care management and safeguarding tasks in line with statutory duties. Your work will be underpinned by key legislation, including the Care Act, Mental Capacity Act, and other relevant frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:
Conducting care needs assessments and reviews

Undertaking Section 42 safeguarding enquiries

Completing Mental Capacity Assessments and Best Interest Decisions

Working within a multidisciplinary team and liaising with partner agencies

Maintaining high standards of record keeping using electronic case management systems

Supporting and guiding less experienced staff when required

Travelling within and outside the borough for placement assessments and reviews

Requirements:
Qualified Social Worker with registration with Social Work England

Minimum of 2 years' post-qualifying experience in Adult Social Care

Strong report writing, assessment, and IT skills

Experience working within a multidisciplinary framework

Ability to work flexibly and manage
