Lancashire County Council is seeking an experienced and dedicated Social Worker to join our specialist Safeguarding Adults Service. This is a part-time role working 18.5 hours per week on a rotating schedule: two days one week and three days the next, specifically on Thursdays, Fridays, and alternate Wednesdays. This structure supports effective workload management and ensures service continuity.

Key Responsibilities:

Undertake and coordinate statutory Section 42 Care Act Enquiries

Work collaboratively with multi-agency partners

Provide safeguarding expertise across the service

Support adults at risk of harm or abuse

Essential Requirements:

Qualified Social Worker with experience in completing and coordinating Care Act Section 42 enquiries

Registered with Social Work England

Strong knowledge of adult safeguarding legislation and practice

Ability to work flexibly across the countywide service, based from either the East or West hub, with potential travel across Lancashire as needed

Additional Information:

This role forms part of a job-share arrangement to ensure consistent safeguarding coverage
