We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Qualified Social Worker to join our Kinship Assessment Team in Gloucestershire. As a member of this team, you will play a crucial role in assessing and supporting kinship carers to provide safe and nurturing environments for children in need.
Key responsibilities and duties include:
Conducting thorough assessments of potential kinship carers to determine their suitability and capacity to care for children Developing and implementing support plans to assist kinship carers in meeting the needs of the children in their care Working collaboratively with other professionals and agencies to ensure the best outcomes for children and families Providing guidance and advice to kinship carers on accessing relevant services and resources Participating in case conferences and reviews to contribute to decision-making processesEssential qualifications and skills:
Qualified Social Worker with a valid registration with Social Work England Demonstrated experience in conducting assessments and working with children and families in a social work setting Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with a diverse range of individuals Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage a demanding workload Commitment to promoting the well-being and safeguarding of childrenAdditional requirements or benefits:
