Herefordshire Council currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Social Worker to join their Family Help team. For the below locations.
Location1: The Priory, Church Street, Leominster
Location2 : Bye Street, Ledbury, Herefordshire
Location3 : Plough Lane, Hereford, Herefordshire
Pay Rate: £30.57 per hour (Umbrella)
Key Responsibilities:
Undertake assessments of children and families to identify needs, risks, and strengths.Provide early help and targeted interventions to support families and prevent escalation of concerns.Develop and review child-centred plans that improve outcomes and promote family resilience.Work directly with children, young people, and families to build positive, trusting relationships.Safeguard children by identifying risks and taking appropriate action in line with statutory guidance and thresholds.Coordinate and lead multi-agency meetings, ensuring effective partnership working across education, health, and community services.Deliver practical and emotional support to families, helping them address challenges and improve stability.Promote the child's voice and ensure their wishes and feelings inform all assessments and planning.Maintain accurate case records, reports, and assessments in line with legal and organisational requirements.Support families to access community resources and services that strengthen long-term independence and wellbeing.Work within a strengths-based and restorative practice model to empower families and achieve sustainable change.Contribute to improving service delivery through reflective practice, learning, and continuous professional development.
Essential Requirements:

Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify strengths and areas for improvement.
