North East Lincolnshire Council is seeking an experienced and passionate ICP Worker to join their Integrated Front Door (IFD) service - a key role at the very start of a child's journey with social care.
Role: Initial Contact Point (ICP) Worker
Location: North East Lincolnshire
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Locum / Agency
About the Role:
As the first point of contact for children not currently open to Children's Social Care or Family Help, the ICP Worker plays a vital role in safeguarding and early intervention. You'll respond to calls from professionals and members of the public with concerns about children, using a strength-based approach to gather accurate and high-quality information.
Key Responsibilities:
Take calls relating to new concerns about children.
Ask the right questions to collect clear, concise, and useful information.
Input details into Liquidlogic in real-time during calls.
Identify whether the situation requires Family Help or presents safeguarding risks.
Conduct multi-agency checks and analyse findings to recommend next steps.
Raise any safeguarding concerns with the Social Worker and Practice Supervisor for review.
Requirements:
Strong knowledge of Children's Social Care and safeguarding procedures.
Experience working in front door or MASH settings preferred.
Familiarity with Liquidlogic is an advantage.
Excellent communication, information-gathering, and analytical skills.
