Join our dedicated team on the beautiful Isle of Wight as an Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP) in the Qualified Social Work field. We are seeking a compassionate and skilled individual to support vulnerable adults experiencing mental health challenges. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the safety and well-being of those in need, providing essential assessments, interventions, and support in accordance with the Mental Health Act.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting assessments of individuals in crisis to determine their mental health needs and eligibility for care. Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans that promote recovery and well-being. Providing advice and support to families and carers, ensuring they are involved in the care process. Maintaining accurate and timely records of assessments, interventions, and outcomes in compliance with legal and organizational standards. Participating in training and development opportunities to enhance your professional skills and knowledge.The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work) and current registration with Social Work England. Approved Mental Health Professional status or willingness to complete AMHP training. Strong understanding of mental health legislation and best practices in social work. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues.
