We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Social Worker to join our Children with Disabilities Team in Islington. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality social work services to children with disabilities and their families, ensuring their well-being and safeguarding their rights.
Key responsibilities and duties:
Undertaking comprehensive assessments of children with disabilities and their families to identify their needs and develop appropriate support plans. Working collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams, partner agencies, and stakeholders to coordinate and deliver effective interventions. Providing expert advice and guidance to colleagues, families, and external agencies on complex cases and legislative frameworks. Participating in case conferences, court proceedings, and reviews to advocate for the best interests of children with disabilities. Contributing to the ongoing development and improvement of services through reflective practice, supervision, and training.Essential qualifications and skills:
Qualified Social Worker with a recognized social work qualification and registration with Social Work England. Demonstrable experience working with children with disabilities and their families in a social work setting. Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to children's services and disabilities. Excellent communication, assessment, and decision-making skills with a person-centered approach. Ability to work autonomously, manage complex caseloads, and prioritize tasks effectively.Additional requirements or benefits:
