Location: East Kent
Pay Rate: Up to £38 per hour (Umbrella)
Working Pattern: Hybrid - In-office presence required based on service needs

Job Summary:

Kent County Council is seeking an experienced Qualified Social Worker to join their Adolescent Support Team in East Kent. The role involves working directly with vulnerable adolescents and their families to ensure safety, stability, and positive outcomes.

Key Responsibilities Include:

Manage a caseload of adolescents in need of targeted intervention

Undertake assessments, care planning, and reviews under s17 and s47

Work closely with education, health, police, and voluntary services

Deliver interventions to reduce risk of exploitation, offending, or family breakdown

Build trusting and supportive relationships with adolescents

Participate in multi-agency safeguarding discussions and strategy meetings

Required Qualifications & Skills:

Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration

Experience in adolescent or youth-focused services

Strong understanding of issues affecting adolescents, including exploitation, missing episodes, and trauma

Skilled in crisis intervention, safety planning, and relationship-based practice

Excellent communication, assessment, and planning skills

We are currently recruiting for a highly skilled OT to join Bexleys Triage Hub, playing a key role in delivering frontline occupational therapy services across the borough.

Key Responsibilities:
Screening and triaging referrals to determine appropriate pathways.

Conducting OT functional assessments to support independence and daily living.

Prescribing and coordinating minor aids and adaptations.

Carrying out Disabled Facilities Grant (DFG) assessments for major adaptations.

Providing expert OT support and guidance to Social Care Assessors (SCA).

Requirements:
HCPC-registered Occupational Therapist

Proven experience in community-based OT services

Strong knowledge of DFG legislation and minor/major adaptation processes

Confident in triage and screening duties

Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
