Barnet Council is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Occupational Therapist (OT) to join their Adult Social Care team. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact in a dynamic and supportive local authority setting.

Key Responsibilities:
Undertake Care Act-compliant assessments for adults aged 18+ with physical and/or sensory disabilities.

Apply sound clinical reasoning to develop tailored intervention plans.

Prescribe and arrange both simple and complex equipment, ensuring thorough risk and manual handling assessments.

Provide professional recommendations on major adaptations, including making referrals for Disabled Facilities Grants.

Work closely with multidisciplinary teams and service users to promote independence and well-being.

Essential Requirements:
Qualified Occupational Therapist (HCPC registered)

Extensive experience in Adult Social Care settings

Strong understanding of relevant legislation and best practices, including the Care Act 2014

Proficiency in assessing for and recommending major adaptations

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

An exclusive opportunity has arisen for Hertfordshire County Council to join Barnet & Chase Farm Hospital as an Adults Advanced Practitioner. This is to join a friendly and welcoming Hospital Team. This role is full time based at the Hospital and you will benefit from working in a professional and passionate environment.

As a valued member of the team you will be responsible for social care assessments, assessing the needs of patients and their carers, arranging appropriate care packages and services, liaising with other professionals and agencies and ensuring a safe and timely discharge.

You must hold a recognised professional Social Work qualification (MA/BA/BSc in Social Work, Diploma in Social Work or CQSW) and be SWE registered. Additionally, you must have at least two years post qualifying experience and be able to provide five years of references.
