Type: Full time, locum
Bath and North East Somerset are looking for a Deputy Team Manager required for Annual Reviewing Team responsible for the annual Care Act Reviews for adults with a commissioned package of care from the local authority. This will include supervising 4 Social Care Practitioners and 1 administrator.
Reviews include older adults, learning disabilities and autism.
Tasks include - checking and signing off Care Act Reviews and assessments, supporting practitioners with undertaking mental capacity assessments, support and advising around care planning and signposting to third sector organisations where appropriate. The successful candidate will also need to cover a duty rota (average 1 day a week) for the Learning Disability Service which will include responding to new referrals, package related queries and Safeguarding triaging.
In addition the post holder will lead on project work consisted of targeted reviews for various service user groups.
Hybrid working model with an average of two days per week in the office.

Overview:
Bath and North East Somerset Council is seeking an experienced and proactive Deputy Team Manager to lead and manage the Annual Reviewing Team. This team is responsible for completing Care Act Reviews for adults receiving commissioned care packages from the local authority.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide day-to-day supervision for 4 Social Care Practitioners and 1 Administrator
Review and authorise Care Act Assessments and Reviews
Support staff with Mental Capacity Assessments and care planning
Offer advice and guidance, including signposting to appropriate services
Participate in the Learning Disability Service duty rota (average 1 day per week)
Respond to new referrals
Handle care package queries
Conduct Safeguarding triage

Requirements:
Qualified Social Worker with valid Social Work England registration
Strong knowledge of the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act, and safeguarding procedures
Previous experience in a supervisory or management capacity is essential
Excellent organisational and communication skills
Ability to work flexibly in a fast-paced environment
