Duties and Responsibilities:
Your daily responsibilities will include:
* Undertaking Initial Assessments under Section 17
* Undertaking Core Assessments under Section 47
* Undertaking Child Protection Enquiries under Section 47
* Undertaking Pre-Birth Assessments under Section 47
* Undertaking assessments using the Common Assessment Framework
* Undertaking Risk Assessments
* Applying for and obtaining Emergency Protection Orders
* Preparing and presenting case conference reports
* Applying for and obtaining Emergency Protection Orders


Essential Requirements:
* Social Work Qualification - Degree or equivalent
* At least 3 years experience as a social worker within childrens services
* Social Work England Registration
* Driving license and access to own vehicle

Eden Brown Synergy is Looking for a Qualified Social Worker to join the Child Protection/ Child in Need team for Sandwell Children's Trust.

Responsibilities:
* Holding a caseload of children subject to Child Protection Plans and Children in Need
* Undertaking Initial Assessments
* Undertaking Core Assessments
* Undertaking Child Protection Enquiries
* Undertaking Pre-Birth Assessments
* Undertaking Parenting Assessments
* Undertaking assessments
* Undertaking Risk Assessments
* Completion of Section 7 reports requested by Family Courts
* Completion of Section 37 reports requested by Family Courts
* Providing Section 17 support to families and children in need
* Carrying out home visits for monitoring purposes/ to promote the welfare of and to safeguard the children
* Liaising/ Working close with partnership agencies to support the families and meet the children/ young peoples needs
* Producing Initial Child Protection Conference reports
* Convening and chairing Core Group Meetings
* Initiating and implementing Child Protection Plans
* Initiating Care Proceedings
* Completion of Care Proceedings

Essential Requirements:

I am recruiting for an experienced Occupational Therapist in the Therapy Team in Sandwell.

They are a dynamic and responsive team who work closely alongside colleagues in community social work and reablement services to provide a streamlined and quality customer journey. Part of the daily role will be completing assessments both in service users' homes to help promote and maximise our service users independence and virtually by the use of programs such as Microsoft Teams.

Hybrid working available - 3 days in the office required and also to undertake duty 1 week in every 6 weeks.

To apply for this role you must hold a degree, post graduate or Professional Qualification in Social Occupational Therapy, hold a valid HCPC registration. Ideally have 2 years direct experience of working in an OT role.
