As an Advance Practitioner, your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting comprehensive assessments and developing tailored support plans for families. Providing expert guidance and supervision to social workers and support staff. Collaborating with multi-agency teams to ensure a holistic approach to family support. Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of interventions and support services. Staying up-to-date with legislation, policies, and best practices in child welfare and family support.The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A relevant social work qualification (e.g., CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent). Registered with Social Work England. At least 3 years of post-qualification experience in child and family social work. Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to develop effective intervention strategies. Roles and Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify needs, risks, and strengths.Develop and implement detailed care plans, ensuring they align with statutory requirements and best practices.Regularly review and update care plans to ensure positive outcomes for children and families.Prepare and present reports for court, including private and public care proceedings, in line with legal frameworks.Provide expert guidance and support in child protection cases, working closely with multi-disciplinary teams.Work directly with children looked after, ensuring their welfare and development needs are met.Attend and contribute to meetings and reviews with social workers, legal teams, and other professionals.Maintain accurate records of all case work, ensuring confidentiality and adherence to safeguarding protocols.Ensure compliance with local authority policies and national child protection guidelines.Travel to various locations for case work, meetings, and home visits, requiring access to a personal vehicle.Essential Requirements:
