Cheshire East Council is seeking a dedicated and passionate Qualified Social Worker (QSW) to join our Child Protection/Child in Need (CP/CIN) Team. This role is crucial in ensuring the safety and well-being of vulnerable children and families within our community. You will work collaboratively with a range of professionals to assess needs, manage cases, and implement effective interventions that promote positive outcomes for children and their families.
As a Qualified Social Worker, your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families in need of support. Developing and implementing child protection plans in collaboration with families and external agencies. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records, ensuring compliance with local and national legislation. Providing expert advice and guidance to colleagues and partner agencies. Attending court hearings and presenting evidence as required.The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Experience working in child protection and safeguarding. Strong assessment, analytical, and decision-making skills.
