We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Subject Access Officer - Qualified Social Worker (QSW) to join our team in Durham. As a Subject Access Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with data protection laws and regulations, particularly in relation to subject access requests.

Key responsibilities and duties include:

Processing subject access requests in a timely and efficient manner Reviewing and redacting sensitive information to ensure data protection and confidentiality Acting as a point of contact for individuals making subject access requests Providing support and guidance to colleagues on data protection matters Collaborating with the legal team to address any complex or high-risk cases

Essential qualifications and skills:

Qualified Social Worker (QSW) with a valid registration with Social Work England Demonstrable experience in handling subject access requests and data protection compliance Strong understanding of relevant legislation, including GDPR and Data Protection Act Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and prioritize workload effectively
