Eden Brown are seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled Reporting and Systems Developer for a Further Education College in West Yorkshire to support and enhance the College's Management Information System (MIS) and reporting infrastructure.
You will be central to designing and developing data solutions, ensuring the collegs systems and reports are accurate, accessible, and strategically aligned with College priorities. As a Reporting and Systems Developer and play a crucial role in enhancing how they use information to support students and staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain, develop, and optimise the College's core database and reporting systems.
- Design and implement new Microsoft SQL Server reports, ensuring data is presented clearly and effectively.
- Develop Microsoft T-SQL views and queries to extract and manipulate data from the College's MIS.
- Gather data and statistics from a range of systems to support internal and external reporting requirements.
- Design and implement interactive dashboards using Power BI and other visualisation tools.
- Provide support and guidance to staff in using MIS tools and interpreting reports.
- Support the maintenance of job recording systems by ensuring data accuracy and availability.
- Research and evaluate emerging IT trends and tools that could enhance systems and reporting capabilities.
You Will Also Be Responsible For:
- Managing allocated tasks independently, using your initiative and requiring minimal supervision.
- Actively contributing to a collaborative team environment and supporting shared goals.
- Delivering improvements to operational systems and leading the development of smaller-scale IT projects.
- Ensuring a high standard of customer satisfaction through responsive and user-focused service delivery.
- Advising colleagues on data and reporting best practices to drive efficiency and consistency.
- Contributing to the development and delivery of the College's IT strategy, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
- Building strong working relationships with staff across departments to better understand and meet their information needs.
- Diagnosing and resolving complex system issues and advising on significant changes to IT systems.
- Recommending new technologies and promoting continuous improvement in system delivery and performance.
- Actively supporting operational planning, self-assessment, and performance monitoring across the IT directorate to contribute to broader institutional goals.
- Assisting in the monitoring and reporting of service level agreements and performance standards.
- Undertaking other duties in line with the responsibilities of the role as required.
About You
- You will bring a combination of technical expertise and strong interpersonal skills. Youre comfortable working with data, solving complex problems, and communicating clearly with both technical and non-technical colleagues.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Proficient in Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL development.
- Experience with data reporting tools such as SSRS and Power BI.
- Strong understanding of data systems, modelling, and analysis techniques.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
Desirable:
- Experience working in Further or Higher Education.
- Knowledge of FE funding methodologies and reporting requirements.
- Familiarity with IT service management principles, SLAs, and KPI reporting.

Eden Brown are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Temporary SEND Lead to ensure the effective placement, support, and progression of students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), including those with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and Additional Learning Support (ALS) needs.
This is a temporary role to start asap for 30 hours per week until the end of May initially.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership for SEND provision across the college.
- Coordinate the placement, review, and ongoing support for students with EHCPs and identified SEND or ALS needs.
- Work collaboratively with curriculum teams, support services, external agencies, and local authorities.
- Ensure compliance with statutory responsibilities and maintain high standards of inclusive practice.
Monitor the effectiveness of interventions and support strategies, ensuring each student receives the right support to achieve their potential.
About You:
- Proven experience in a SEND leadership role, ideally within a Further Education or post-16 setting.
- In-depth knowledge of EHCP processes, SEND Code of Practice, and ALS frameworks.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills, with the ability to lead and influence at all levels.
- A proactive, student-centred approach, with a commitment to inclusion and equal opportunities
