Eden Brown Synergy are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Social Worker to join the Haverhill Social Care Team at Suffolk County Council on a high-paying agency contract.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Children's Social Worker with strong frontline experience within Assessment and Safeguarding services to join a supportive and fast-paced local authority team.
About the Role
The Haverhill Team works closely with children and families across a varied caseload, supporting vulnerable children through Child in Need, Child Protection, Looked After Children, Assessment, and Support & Prevention work.
You will be responsible for:
Undertaking assessments under Section 17 and Section 47Managing Child in Need (CIN) and Child Protection (CP) plansCompleting timely and high-quality assessmentsWorking within a fast-paced frontline environmentSupporting children and families through safeguarding processesMulti-agency working with professionals and partner agenciesMaintaining accurate case recordings and reportsTeam & Working Arrangements
Office base primarily in Haverhill, due to proximity to familiesOpportunity to work from West Suffolk House depending on caseload requirementsAttendance at CP Conferences and meetings requiredAverage caseload: approximately 30Hybrid working available with 3 office-based days per weekCondensed hours across 4 days can be consideredExcellent location for candidates commuting from Cambridge, Peterborough, Essex, and surrounding areasEssential Requirements
Minimum 3 years' post-qualified experience within a UK Local Authority Children's Services teamStrong experience within Assessment and Safeguarding teamsSWE RegistrationFull UK Driving Licence and access to own vehicleAbility to work effectively within a fast-paced frontline serviceBenefits of Working with Eden Brown Synergy
