We are currently recruiting for an exciting Social Worker role within the Family Help/Child Protection/Family Help team at Leicestershire County Council.
Role Details:
Experience Required: Child Protection (CP) and Court Work
Caseloads: Approximately 15-20 children under the new structure
Working Hours: Full-time
Location:
Main base: Victoria & Albert, Albert St, Loughborough, LE11 2DW
Additional work may require visits to Venture House, Ashfordsby Road, Melton Mowbray, LE13 0HN
Pay Rate: £38 per hour (Umbrella)
Requirements:
* Social Work England registration.
* Eligibility to work in the UK.
* Full UK driving license.
* Social Work Qualification (degree or equivalent).
* Minimum of 3 years' experience as a social worker within children's services.

* Undertaking Parenting Assessments
* Undertaking Risk Assessments
* Undertaking Educational Needs Assessments
* Carrying out home visits for monitoring purposes/ to promote the welfare of and to safeguard the children
* Liaising/ Working close with partnership agencies to support the families and meet the children/ young peoples needs
* Convening and chairing Core Group Meetings
* Producing Initial Child Protection Conference reports
* Initiating and implementing Child Protection Plans
* Applying for and obtaining Emergency Protection Orders
* Reviewing Financial payments received by kinship carers/ or carers granted Residence Orders/Special Guardianship Orders
* Organising/managing packages of support
* Organising/managing packages of care
* Arranging short breaks
* Providing Section 17 support to families and children in need
* Attending court and giving evidence when required
* Initiating Care Proceedings
* Completion of Care Proceedings

About the Role:
