We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Children's Social Worker to join our CP/Court Team in Plymouth. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality social work services to children and families involved in child protection and court proceedings.
Key responsibilities and duties include:
Conducting assessments and developing care plans for children at risk of harm Participating in court proceedings and providing evidence-based reports Working collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure the safety and well-being of children Delivering interventions and support services to families to promote positive outcomes Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentationThe successful candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

Court and CP experienced social worker. Must be able to case manage a complicated case load which includes parenting assessments for court.
Applicants need to be experienced in progressing child protection / CIN plans with specific measurable and timely interventions and be able to recognise when further intervention is required to protect the children within their case load and take the appropriate action to address this.
Candidates will have a technical authority in social care practice with acknowledged depth and expertise, including the assessment and appropriate management of risk. Directly develops others, champions practice improvement by actively participating in process/procedure/policy and strategy development. This role may involve dealing with the most complex cases, partly in order to maintain credibility and experience in the field.
You will be Social Worker England registered, ideally a driver with access to own car and able to reside and work in the UK.

Plymouth City Council is currently seeking an experienced Qualified Social Worker (QSW) to join their Adult Social Care team on a locum basis.
This is a statutory role with the primary responsibility of conducting holistic assessments for adults, providing expert information and advice on social care matters, and fulfilling a wide range of duties as outlined by current social care legislation and statutory guidance.
Key Responsibilities:
Undertake person-centred assessments in line with the Care Act 2014
Provide advice and guidance to service users and carers
Deliver safeguarding interventions where necessary
Work collaboratively with health and voluntary sector professionals
Maintain accurate and timely case records
Requirements:
Qualified Social Worker with current SWE registration
Experience in adult statutory social work

The Children and Family Court Advisory and Support Service (Cafcass) is a non-departmental public body for England set up to safeguard and promote the welfare of children involved in family court proceedings.
