Eden Brown Synergy is Looking for a Qualified Social Worker to join the Children with Disability team for Rochdale Council. Team Description. The Children with Disabilities Team manages cases where disability is the overriding factor to consider with regards to outcomes and impact for the child. One of our functions is to assess and offer appropriate short break services to children who have a diagnosed disability and/or complex health needs and their families. However some disabled children are also in need of safeguarding and in these cases we also manage children in the child protection process including Child Protection Conference, Public Law Outline and Proceedings. What else does the team offer. A number of the children that are held by our team are Cared for Children, both on Full Care Orders and section 20 agreements. These children are managed under Care Planning and Fostering Regulations with oversight of an Independent Reviewing Officer. How does the team work. We are in the process of establishing multi-disciplinary teams where specialist practitioners are co-located with social workers under a unified management structure. This enables a multi-disciplinary whole family response through direct assessment. This is a really exciting time for Rochdale and we need Consultant Social Worker to support our ASYE's in implementing this model. About the role: The role is a non-case holding. As Advanced Practitioners on Duty and Assessment you will have a reduced caseload of complex cases. You will deliver coaching, mentoring and support to Newly Qualified (NQSWs) and experienced Social Workers, providing guidance, support and best practice as well as supporting the Team Manager with quality assurance and practice improvements. You will also deputise for the manager in their absence for example chairing strategy discussions, initiating Section 47 enquiries and other complex meetings as directed by the service needs.
