Suffolk County Council is seeking an experienced Senior Social Worker to join their Children and Young People's Services - CCWDS team.

Position: Senior Social Worker - CYPS CCWDS
Hours: 37 per week
Location: North Suffolk Office bases (including Lowestoft and Saxmundham)
Flexible Working: Supported, with a minimum of 2 days office-based
Pay: £39 per hour via Umbrella

Role Overview:
This role involves working with children and families across a range of statutory duties, including:

Conducting assessments of need under Section 17 Children Act and developing/reviewing Child in Need (CIN) plansWorking closely with health and education colleagues, including under the CHC framework and Statutory SENDUndertaking Section 47 enquiries and progressing to Child Protection as neededPotential involvement in Public Law Outline (PLO), Private Law Section 7, and Section 37 casesSupporting children who are Children in Care (CIC), including those living in residential settingsAssisting children with transitions to ASC

Essential Requirements:

Social Work Qualification - Degree or equivalentMinimum of 3 years' experience as a social worker within children's servicesRegistered with Social Work EnglandDriving licence and access to own vehicle
