Senior Qualified Social Worker - Children's with Disabilities Team

About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Qualified Social Worker to join the Children's with Disabilities Team in Stockton-on-Tees. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a supportive local authority, making a positive impact on the lives of children and families while benefiting from a competitive hourly rate and an ongoing contract.

Key Responsibilities

Manage a complex caseload of children with disabilities and their families.

Complete statutory assessments, care planning, and reviews in line with legislation and local procedures.

Work collaboratively with multi-agency partners to ensure positive outcomes for children.

Safeguard children and promote their welfare through effective intervention and support.

Provide guidance, mentoring, and support to less experienced social workers where required.

Prepare high-quality reports and maintain accurate case records.

Requirements

Social Work England registration.

Significant post-qualifying experience within Children's Services.

Strong knowledge of safeguarding, child protection, and court processes.

Experience supporting, mentoring, or supervising social workers.

Excellent assessment, communication, and analytical skills.
