Our Client is looking for an experienced Qualified Social Worker with extensive Child Protection, Family Support and Court experience. CAFCASS are looking for Family Court Advisors. The vacancies are within the Work To First Hearing, This role will be based out of Swindon / Reading / Oxford. Long term contracts at good rates of pay up to £37.75ph. Working remotely from home except for regular team meetings.

Within the Work to First Hearing team you will play a key role in ensuring Cafcass only intervenes in the lives of those children who needs a service. This role is fast paced, draws on Child Protection expertise and requires analytical and effective risk assessment to identify key issues for the court and make safe recommendations in the best interests of the child. You will predominantly achieve this through effective telephone interviews with applicants and respondents and by assessing information received from other agencies. You will then collate this to allow you to succinctly and expertly communicate advice in the court through clear, evidence-based reports and representations, which will occasionally mean attending initial Court Hearings to ensure that children remain central to all decision making.

The Children and Family Court Advisory and Support Service (Cafcass) is a non-departmental public body for England set up to safeguard and promote the welfare of children involved in family court proceedings. It was formed on 1 April 2001 under the provisions of the Criminal Justice and Court Services Act 2000 and is accountable to Parliament through the Ministry of Justice. Cafcass is independent of the courts, social services, education and health authorities and all similar agencies.

Cafcass looks after the interests of children involved in family proceedings. It works with children and their families, and then advises the courts on what it considers to be in the children's best interests. Cafcass only works in family courts.
Family Court Advisers are involved in a combination of cases where either the families require the assistance to agree on the best arrangements for the welfare and safety of the child(ren) involved or the local authority has serious concerns and requests the involvement of Cafcass in the case. Children's Social Workers key responsibilities include: Conducting assessments and directly engaging with children to understand and represent their views and wishes to the court. Using expertise in robust risk assessment and mediation will be essential as you advocate for arrangements that prioritise the best interest of the children.

You will be Social Work England registered, ideally a driver with access to own car and able to reside and work in the UK

As an Eden Brown Synergy candidate, you can take advantage of our competitive service offering: * Dedicated personal and professional service. * Free DBS check. * CV review service. * Interview advice. * Competitive rates of pay. * Post-placement follow up meetings.
