Derbyshire County Council is seeking an experienced and proactive MASH Social Worker to join their dynamic Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) team.
About the Role:
As a MASH Social Worker, you will be the first point of contact for safeguarding concerns. You will work closely with partner agencies to gather information, assess risk, and make informed decisions to ensure the safety and wellbeing of children and families.
Key Responsibilities:
Screen and assess referrals received through the MASH
Liaise with police, health, education, and other partner agencies
Identify risk and determine appropriate next steps (e.g., strategy discussion, assessment, NFA)
Record clear, evidence-based decisions within tight timescales
Ensure all actions comply with safeguarding legislation and guidance
What We're Looking For:
Qualified Social Worker with post-qualifying experience in children's services
Strong knowledge of safeguarding and thresholds for intervention
Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage high-volume caseloads
Excellent decision-making, communication, and multi-agency working skills

Rate: £37 per hour (LTD - negotiable based on experience)

Experience Required: Minimum 2-3 years
Key Responsibilities:
Work directly with disabled children and their families to promote independence
Support maximum development across physical, psychological, social, and economic aspects of life
Deliver person-centred assessments and intervention plans tailored to each child's needs
Maintain high standards of professional practice within the Occupational Therapy service
Collaborate with other professionals and services to ensure comprehensive care
Support and advise families and carers on appropriate strategies, adaptations, and equipment
Essential Requirements:
Minimum of 2-3 years of Occupational Therapy experience
Experience working within children's services or with disabled young people
HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist
Excellent communication and assessment skills
Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team
