Senior Social Worker - Long Term Locality Team
Salary: £45,830 - £51,130 per annum
Location: Medway
Service Area: Adult Social Care

Main Purpose of the Job:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Social Worker to join our Long Term Locality Team. In this pivotal role, you will contribute to the delivery of a high-performing Adult Social Care service, supporting Medway residents to maintain their independence through holistic, person-centred, and strength-based interventions.

You will be responsible for:

Providing professional oversight, supervision, and leadership to a small team of social care staff, promoting best practices and ensuring effective case management.

Offering expert guidance, coaching, and mentoring to colleagues, supporting their professional development and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Managing a complex caseload involving high-risk situations, demonstrating expert judgment in safeguarding and promoting individual welfare.

Collaborating with senior colleagues and team managers to implement early interventions and preventative approaches that enhance service user outcomes.

Ensuring compliance with the Quality Assurance Framework, actively participating in audits and driving service improvements.

What Were Looking For:
Proven experience in adult social care, with expertise in complex case work and risk management.

Strong leadership and supervision skills, with the ability to support and develop staff effectively.

A commitment to person-centred practice and delivering strengths-based, empowering interventions.

Excellent knowledge of safeguarding legislation, the Care Act, and other relevant frameworks.
