Join our dedicated team in Kirklees as an Occupational Therapist specializing in Learning Disabilities and Mental Health. We are seeking a compassionate and skilled professional to support individuals in achieving their personal goals and enhancing their quality of life. In this role, you will work collaboratively with clients, families, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement tailored therapeutic interventions.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting comprehensive assessments to identify the needs and goals of individuals with learning disabilities and mental health challenges. Designing and implementing individualized occupational therapy plans that promote independence and well-being. Providing therapeutic interventions in various settings, including community, home, and clinical environments. Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to care. Monitoring and evaluating client progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary. Educating clients and their families about strategies to facilitate daily living and improve mental health outcomes.To be considered for this position, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A degree in Occupational Therapy and current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). Experience working with individuals with learning disabilities and mental health issues. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
