We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced LAC Senior Social Worker to join our team in Leeds City. As a key member of our Qualified Social Work department, you will play a crucial role in providing support and guidance to Looked After Children (LAC) to ensure their well-being and development.

Key responsibilities and duties:

Manage a caseload of Looked After Children, conducting assessments and developing care plans Collaborate with various stakeholders including families, schools, and healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive support Advocate for the best interests of LAC in meetings, court hearings, and reviews Provide crisis intervention and support to children and families in challenging situations Conduct home visits and regular assessments to monitor progress and ensure safety

Essential qualifications and skills:

Qualified Social Worker with a relevant degree and HCPC registration Demonstrated experience working with Looked After Children and knowledge of relevant legislation and policies Strong assessment and analytical skills with the ability to make informed decisions Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with children and families Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks efficiently
