Social Worker required for work within the LAC/CIC Team based in Plymouth in Devon. Competitive rates of pay £48ph. 3 month minimum contract with opportunity to extend. Close to the beautiful beaches of South Devon with good transport links via the A38 to M5.. Hybrid working offered. This role doesn't come up often.

We are seeking an energetic Social Worker to work in our Permanency Service where we support children and young people in long term care. As a Permanency Social Worker your role is to ensure our children in care are well supported as they journey through their childhood and as they become young adults. This will be a statutory Social Work role where you will complete visits, update Assessments, Plans and Reviews with our care experienced children and young people. We care about each and every child or young person who is care experienced in Plymouth. We want them to feel warmth and care from each and every person who supports them along their journey. We do all we can to understand each individual care experienced child and young person's aspirations and support them to reach their goals. You will receive support from a friendly and highly experienced team of colleagues and will work closely with us to develop the Service, achieving the best possible care and outcomes for our children and young people.

Ideally a driver with access to own car and able to reside and work in the UK
