Are you an experienced Children's Social Worker looking for your next locum opportunity?
Lancashire County Council is currently recruiting for three Qualified Social Workers to join its Children with Disabilities (CWD) Teams across Lancaster, Fylde & South Ribble, and Preston. This is an excellent opportunity to support children and young people with disabilities while working within a well-established and supportive service.
About the RoleAs a Social Worker within the Children with Disabilities Team, you will work with children and young people who have complex needs, undertaking assessments, care planning, and statutory interventions to ensure their safety, wellbeing, and development. You will work closely with families and partner agencies to achieve positive outcomes and provide effective support.
Key ResponsibilitiesUndertake statutory assessments and interventions for children and young people with disabilities.Manage a caseload in line with legislation, policies, and procedures.Complete Child and Family Assessments, Child in Need plans, and safeguarding interventions where required.Work collaboratively with families, education providers, health professionals, and partner agencies.Attend and contribute to multi-agency meetings, reviews, and conferences.Prepare high-quality reports, assessments, and case recordings.Promote the welfare and best interests of children and young people.RequirementsSocial Work England registration.Degree or equivalent qualification in Social Work.Previous experience within Children's Services.Strong assessment, safeguarding, and case management skills.Ability to work effectively within a multi-agency environment.Excellent communication and report-writing skills.What's on OfferCompetitive rate of £36 per hour Umbrella.Immediate interview and start opportunities.Choice of locations across Lancashire.Supportive team environment.Opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of children and families.To apply or find out more, please get in touch with your updated CV today on or call me on 020 815 28935
