Qualified Social Worker - Adult Safeguarding - Lewisham
Location: Lewisham
Rate: Competitive
Contract: Locum
Hours: Full-time
We are currently recruiting for a Qualified Social Worker to join the Adult Safeguarding Team at Lewisham Council.
Key Responsibilities:
Undertake safeguarding enquiries under Section 42 of the Care Act
Complete mental capacity assessments and risk assessments
Collaborate with partner agencies, health professionals, and service users
Promote person-centred, strengths-based approaches
Maintain clear, accurate case notes and reports
Requirements:
Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration
Proven experience in adult safeguarding within local authority settings
Strong knowledge of Care Act 2014, MCA, and safeguarding procedures
Effective communication and assessment skills
