Eden Brown synergy are currently recruiting for Lewisham Council who are looking for Neighbourhood 4 Community Mental Health Team (CMHT).
Lewisham Council is looking to recruit an experienced and energetic adult mental health social worker for our Neighbourhood 4 Community Mental Health Team (CMHT).
The CMHT offers support and a range of interventions for adults of working age who have serious long-term mental health conditions. The social worker will act as a care coordinator alongside colleagues from South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation and the voluntary sector and will be based within an NHS team. They will hold a caseload of people on CPA, as well as covering the team duty rota and leading on adult safeguarding and Care Act assessments within the multi-disciplinary team.
The Neighbourhood 4 CMHT is based in Downham and offers excellent transport links and free local parking.
The successful candidate will have:
Commitment to culturally-informed and anti-oppressive practice
Substantial experience of adult mental health casework in a community mental health setting
Strong assessment and engagement skills
Understanding of strengths-based approaches to providing adult social care
A high level of knowledge of the social and clinical needs of adult with serious mental illness
Knowledge and experience of the assessment and management of risk in relation to mental health service-users
Substantial experience of working within the statutory framework of the CA 2014, MHA 1983 and MCA 2005 and carrying out statutory interventions
Strong awareness of adult safeguarding and experience of acting as an Enquiry Officer in S.42 enquiries
The ability to manage a caseload in an integrated multi-disciplinary service undertaking fast-moving casework and regular MDT duties on rota.
Experience of carrying out a range of assessments and psych-so
