I'm currently recruiting for an Advanced Practitioner to join the Pre-Birth Team with a well-established local authority in Middlesbrough. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced social worker looking to take on a senior role within a supportive team while enjoying the flexibility of hybrid working.
About the RoleAs an Advanced Practitioner, you will lead on complex pre-birth cases, provide high-quality practice support to colleagues, and work collaboratively with partner agencies to safeguard children and promote positive outcomes for families. You'll play a key role in driving best practice, mentoring less experienced social workers, and ensuring high standards of service delivery.
Key ResponsibilitiesManage a complex caseload involving pre-birth assessments and safeguarding.Provide practice leadership, guidance, and mentoring to social workers.Undertake high-quality assessments and develop effective care plans.Work closely with partner agencies to ensure the best outcomes for children and families.Prepare reports and represent the local authority in court proceedings when required.Promote high-quality practice and support continuous service improvement.RequirementsSocial Work England registration.Significant post-qualifying experience within Children's Services.Strong knowledge of safeguarding, child protection, and court processes.Experience supporting, mentoring, or supervising social workers.Excellent assessment, communication, and analytical skills.Benefits£40 per hour competitive agency rate.Hybrid working to support a healthy work-life balance.Supportive and experienced management team.Opportunity to influence and develop best practice.Ongoing contract with the potential for extension.If you're an experienced Advanced Practitioner looking for your next agency opportunity, apply today by sending your updated CV for immediate consideration.
