Qualified Social Worker - Adult Social Care Point

Eden Brown Synergy is currently recruiting an experienced Qualified Social Worker to join Newcastle City Council's Adult Social Care Point on an agency basis.

This is an excellent opportunity to work at the front door of Adult Social Care, supporting residents by providing timely advice, screening referrals, completing assessments and ensuring individuals receive the right support at the right time.

The initial contract is for 4 weeks, offering the chance to make an immediate impact within a fast-paced and supportive team.

Key ResponsibilitiesWork within the Adult Social Care Point, managing referrals and supporting front-door social work functions.Undertake Care Act assessments and provide timely interventions.Complete Carer's Assessments in accordance with the Care Act 2014.Apply the Mental Capacity Act appropriately when assessing and supporting individuals.Work collaboratively with health professionals, partner agencies and multidisciplinary teams.Assess risk and identify safeguarding concerns where appropriate.Provide information, advice and signposting to residents, carers and professionals.Maintain accurate, timely and high-quality case records.Work effectively within a busy, fast-paced Adult Social Care environment.RequirementsQualified Social Worker with a recognised Social Work qualification.Social Work England registration.Good knowledge and understanding of the Care Act 2014.Experience working with carers and completing Carer's Assessments.Sound knowledge of the Mental Capacity Act and its application in practice.Previous experience within Adult Social Care.Excellent assessment, communication and decision-making skills.Ability to work effectively in a busy frontline social work team.Benefits of working with Eden Brown Synergy include:DBS check processed and paid for by Eden Brown Synergy.Referral bonus if you refer a colleague or friend to us.Bonus for finding your own job.Twice weekly payroll.Dedicated recruitment consultant who will support you throughout your job search, employment and beyond.Apply Today
