Join our dedicated team in North Somerset as a Qualified Social Worker specializing in Family Support and Safeguarding. In this vital role, you will work collaboratively with families to promote the safety and well-being of children and young people, ensuring they receive the support they need to thrive. Your expertise will contribute to assessments, interventions, and the development of tailored support plans that empower families and safeguard vulnerable individuals.
Key responsibilities include:
Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks. Developing and implementing effective intervention strategies in collaboration with families and other professionals. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation in accordance with statutory guidelines. Participating in multi-agency meetings and contributing to safeguarding plans. Providing ongoing support and guidance to families, helping them navigate challenges and access resources.To be successful in this role, you will need:
A relevant social work qualification (Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Proven experience in family support and safeguarding, with a solid understanding of child protection legislation. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with families and stakeholders.
