Join Nottingham City Council as a Qualified Social Worker (QSW) specializing in Children in Care. We are seeking a dedicated and passionate professional to support vulnerable children and families, ensuring their safety and well-being. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant difference in the lives of children in care while working within a supportive and collaborative team environment.

As a Qualified Social Worker, your key responsibilities will include:

Assessing the needs of children and families to develop and implement effective care plans. Conducting regular home visits to monitor the progress and welfare of children in care. Collaborating with multi-agency teams to provide holistic support to children and families. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements. Participating in court proceedings and providing evidence as required.

The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

A relevant degree in Social Work (e.g., BA, MA in Social Work). Current registration with Social Work England. Demonstrated experience working with children and families, particularly in a statutory setting. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage a complex caseload effectively.
