Nottingham City Council is seeking a passionate and dedicated Qualified Social Worker to join our Emergency Duty Team (EDT). This vital role is essential for providing urgent support and intervention to vulnerable individuals and families in crisis. Key responsibilities include:
Responding to emergency referrals and assessing immediate risks to individuals and families. Conducting thorough investigations and implementing appropriate actions to safeguard vulnerable individuals. Providing support and advice to families in crisis, ensuring they receive the necessary resources and assistance. Collaborating with multi-agency partners to coordinate effective responses to emergencies. Maintaining accurate records and documentation in compliance with statutory requirements and organizational policies.To be considered for this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Proven experience in social work, particularly in emergency or crisis situations. Strong assessment and intervention skills, with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
