The London Borough of Richmond upon Thames and the London Borough of Wandsworth are offering a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Occupational Therapist to join a well-established, supportive team working across both boroughs. This role is based within the Wandsworth Adult Social Care team, focusing on delivering community-based support to adults with physical disabilities and older people.

We are looking for a skilled OT with a strong understanding of the Care Act, reablement, and the ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Carry out holistic Occupational Therapy assessments in the home environment

Manage a caseload of adults with varying needs, providing expert clinical advice

Recommend and arrange equipment, minor and major adaptations

Conduct Moving and Handling assessments and advise carers and families

Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, promoting independence and well-being

Respond to urgent referrals and participate in the OT duty rota

Make referrals to internal and external agencies as appropriate

Requirements:

HCPC registered Occupational Therapist

Previous experience in Adult Social Care or similar community settings

Strong knowledge of the Care Act and community equipment provision

Excellent communication and organisational skills
