Family Practitioner - Ealing & Acton Children & Families Teams

Location: Ealing & Acton
Working Pattern: Hybrid - minimum 2 days per week in the office

We are recruiting for a Family Practitioner to join the Ealing & Acton Children & Families teams. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Social Work Assistant/Family Support Practitioner looking to progress, or a Newly Qualified Social Worker (NQSW) who has completed a placement within a front-line Child Protection team.

This role involves managing a caseload of children and families, delivering targeted interventions, and working alongside Social Workers and partner agencies to safeguard children and improve outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
Manage a caseload of children and families, ensuring timely and effective interventions.
Undertake direct work with children, young people, and their families.
Complete assessments, support plans, and case recordings to a high standard.
Work in partnership with social workers and multi-agency professionals.
Ensure all practice complies with safeguarding and child protection procedures.
Maintain accurate records using electronic case management systems.
Essential Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

Experience working with children and families in a statutory or closely related setting.
Experience managing your own caseload. Please note: applicants without demonstrable caseload management experience will not be shortlisted.
A good understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
Strong IT skills and experience using electronic case management systems.
Excellent communication, organisational, and relationship-building skills.
Ideal Background

This role is particularly well suited to:

Experienced Social Work Assistants, Family Support Practitioners, or equivalent professionals who have managed their own caseload.
Newly Qualified Social Workers who completed a placement within a front-line Child Protection or Children in Need team and have gained experience managing a caseload during their placement.
Working Arrangements

This is a hybrid working position, with a requirement to attend the office at least two days per week.
